Terracotta Half-Pot Hides

Give your terrarium a rustic, naturalistic touch with a classic shelter design pets love! Crafted from natural terracotta clay, these half-pot-style hides offer a cozy, enclosed sanctuary for shy reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.

Terracotta’s porous clay structure naturally absorbs and retains moisture when misted, making these half-pot caves excellent for creating humid micro-climates, shedding spots, or secure egg-laying sites.

Key Features & Highlights

• Classic Half-Pot Shelter Design: Curved, rounded pot shape offers an inviting, low-profile retreat that mimics natural clay burrows.
• Porous Moisture-Retaining Terracotta: High-fired, non-toxic natural clay absorbs water to help maintain steady internal humidity for smooth, problem-free shedding.
• Earthy & Timeless Aesthetic: Rich terracotta clay tones blend seamlessly into bioactive soils, moss, sand, and live-planted terrarium landscapes.
• Dark & Stress-Reducing Retreat: Single-entry opening provides shy or nocturnal pets with a dark, safe space to rest and de-stress.
• Hygienic & Simple to Clean: Smooth clay interior resists residue buildup and cleans effortlessly with warm water during routine maintenance.

Keeper's Note & Pro-Tip

Pro-Tip: Partially bury the half-pot in your substrate at an angle to create a naturalistic "burrow entry"! Adding damp sphagnum moss inside transforms it into an ideal, high-humidity shedding cave for geckos, small snakes, or amphibians.
